OUR CURRICULUM

Our well thought out curriculum designed by experts helps children develop learning abilities as well as social skills to thrive in society.

Montessori

The Montessori Method views the child as naturally eager for knowledge & capable of initiating learning in a supportive, thoughtfully prepared and scientifically structured learning environment. It attempts to develop children physically, socially, emotionally and cognitively.
The highlights of the Montessori approach:-
Sensorial Activities

Activities with sensorial apparatus help sharpen the child’s senses and build up intellect. They help the children enhance their senses; visual, auditory, gustatory, tactile and olfactory. This prepares them for an intelligent understanding of their environment.

Foundation Mathematics

Learning mathematical concepts in a Montessori classroom begins from the scratch. We have an organized curriculum and apparatus which helps to establish a solid framework in mathematics using materials such as – Number rods, Spindle boxes, Golden bead material, cards and counters, Seguin boards, and so on.

Language
We aim to widen the child’s exposure to language with correct visual recognition, diction, memory, vocabulary, listening skills, phonic sounds, recognition and writing skills.
Everyday Practical Life Tasks
The Practical Life exercises of the Montessori environment focus on: Social Graces, Preliminary Activities, Self-care and taking care of the environment. These enhance the motor co-ordination and foster independence and self- confidence.
Culture and Environmental Studies
The cultural activities help the child learn self-awareness and self-location which gives them a holistic understanding of the world they live in. This part of the curriculum imparts knowledge and understanding of geography, history, botany, zoology, science, art, etc. Model presentation, visual aids and puzzles are used to introduce Transport, Road signs, Landscapes, Fruits and Vegetables.

REGGIO EMILIA

It is based on the principles of respect, responsibility and community through exploration and discovery in a self-guided curriculum. It believes that children have a natural drive that makes them want to understand and know about the world around them and how this world relates to them. It includes –

PLAY-WAY METHOD

“Play is nature’s own method of education for children”. It emphasizes the spirit of freedom, spontaneity and enjoyment in all school work. Play is an innate, creative, joyful, non-serious, interesting and recreational activity. It is regarded as the language of the child. What he cannot express through language, he expresses that through his behavior and that behavior is play. It includes-

HOLISTIC APPROACH

Holistic Development is an approach to learning that focuses on the physiological & psychological well-being of children, particularly in early childhood. Holistic education is a relatively new movement in education that seeks to engage all aspects of the learner, including mind, body, and spirit. Education with a holistic perspective is concerned with the development of every person’s intellectual, emotional, social, physical, artistic, creative and spiritual potential.
